Meet Benjamin H. Yip
Benjamin H. Yip earned his Juris Doctor degree from Loyola Law School and is licensed to practice law in California. He is a member of the San Diego County Bar Association and the North County Bar Association. Benjamin attended the University of California, San Diego, where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree. At UCSD, he was a member of the Sigma Chi Fraternity and played lacrosse. He also holds a Master of Public Health degree from Loma Linda University.
He grew up in San Diego and is actively engaged in the community, serving as a board member of a local non-profit soccer club. When possible, he takes advantage of the weather by surfing, mountain biking, or golfing. Benjamin is also an avid Padres fan.
Benjamin has worked at an international law firm and as a solo practitioner. Most recently, he was a partner in a boutique law firm focusing on family law. He has received the Wiley W. Manuel Certificate for Pro Bono Legal Services from the State Bar of California.
Benjamin’s stellar track record has recently been bolstered with a Certified Family Law Specialist designation. Awarded by the State Bar of California, the program allows attorneys to earn designations as specialists in various fields of law, and is designed to promote attorney competence and improve public protection by ensuring Californians have access to lawyers with expertise in specific fields of law.
This was the first such program in the United States, and many other states have since turned to it as a blueprint for similar programs of their own.
